This Reagecon Phenol Surrogate Standard (4 Compound Mix) is a ready to use product, that can be used to monitor the complete analytical process, from sample preparation to instrument performance. Typically, this mixture contains compounds similar in chemical composition to analytes of interest in environmental and batch QC samples that may be spiked with such a surrogate mix. Surrogate recoveries for environmental samples, can then be used to evaluate matrix interference and extraction efficiency. Such products can be used for a variety of gas and liquid chromatography methods that include GC, GC-MS, HPLC and LC-MS. This product can also be used to validate appropriate test methods or qualify an instrument in a regulated industry. The product is tested on a high performance GC-MS.

Description
This product is prepared and certified gravimetrically on a weight/volume basis to a specification of ± 2.5% for each component. Reagecon holds IEC/ISO 17025 accreditation for calibration of laboratory balances and pipettes (INAB Ref: 265C). The resulting equipment calibration certificates are issued in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. The concentration of each standard is verified using a high performance calibrated Gas Chromatograph – Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS Instrument). The calibration of the GC-MS instrument is completed using high purity ISO Guide 34 accredited Phenol standards similar in Phenol concentration value to this product. The mass spectrum of each of the analytes is confirmed by comparison with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) mass spectral library.
