Mayers hemalum solution: This solution does not need to be filtrated prior use and the dye is oxidized in a controlled manner; which renders the results robust and allows a brilliant differentiation of the stained structures. Nuclei are intensive blue; cytoplasm is grey-blue. Density (20 °C): 1.05 g / cm3. pH value (20 °C): 1.8 to 2.2. C.I. 75290: 4.4 g / l. Al2(SO4)3 x 18 H2O: 28 g / l. C6H8O7 x H2O: 0.5 g / l
