Reagecon is a market leader in the manufacture, calibration and distribution of a complete range of scientific and laboratory apparatus, consumables and chemicals targeted at all segments of the laboratory and scientific markets. The products are sold into a wide range of markets in Ireland and are exported into over 50 countries worldwide. The company currently employs 85 staff in 2 locations – Shannon and Cork.
The company is currently undergoing a period of unprecedented growth that is more rapid than any other company in our Industry. As a result of this, we are now seeking to make the following key appointments;
STRATEGIC SOURCING MANAGER (REF 1A) This is an exciting new role based at our headquarters in Shannon. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the Strategic Sourcing function within the company.
A Diploma / Degree in Business or Science is desirable. Applicants should have CIPS or equivalent qualification and will have gained 5 – 10 years business experience at senior procurement level. This role requires specific knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Building alliances with international suppliers
- Relationship Development with OEM’s
- Sourcing and developing new product ranges
- Roll out of new product portfolios across the organization
- Experience in setting up and running reverse auctions
STRATEGIC SOURCING TEAM MEMBERS (x 3) (REF 1B) These are permanent roles based at our headquarters in Shannon. Reporting directly to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for the development of the Strategic Sourcing function within the company.
Applicants will possess a third level scientific qualification and will have gained 3 – 5 years experience at purchasing or selling laboratory products and services. This role requires specific knowledge and experience in several aspects of professional procurement.
SALES REPRESENTATIVES (x 3) (Ref 1D) These are permanent roles working in the Dublin, Cork and Galway regions. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for managing and developing the customer base within a designated area.
Applicants must possess a science qualification and have gained experience working in either a laboratory environment or with laboratory products. Previous selling experience is desirable although not essential. This role requires specific knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Develop strong relationships with existing and new customers
- Develop product offerings and business propositions that add value to our customer base
- Develop and promote the image of our company to new and existing customers
- Present, demonstrate and showcase the features and benefits of our products to a wide variety of customer types
