Job Title: Field Sales Manager Department: Irish Sales and Marketing Report To: Managing Director (Additional Reports): Members of the Management Team Location: Designated area plus whole of Ireland Direct Reports: Sales Representatives Job Purpose: To represent Reagecon in general and the Reagecon Sales Function in particular within a designated area by providing the link between clients and the Company. To manage and drive the on-the road sales force ensuring objective driven planning and effective follow through on all accounts Date: 5th June 2007
Key Responsibilities:| 1 | Managing and developing the customer base within a designated area and providing support to that customer base in terms of both sales and technical knowledge. | | 2 | Raising the profile of Reagecon within the marketplace | | 3 | Documenting and reporting all customer interactions on Goldmine and using all Reagecon’s I.T. systems to ensure efficient management of customer accounts | | 4 | Communicating with key colleagues/managers at all Reagecon sites on an ongoing basis | 5 | Manage, develop and drive the on-the-road sales force in Ireland to ensure objective driven planning, efficient follow up ensuring - all reps work to an 8 week journey plan - all of the calls on that plan are objective driven (based on segmentation) - all objective driven calls have two objectives (a) generate a quote (b) generate a call objective to return to the customer once or several times - brief report to management from all reps weekly, relating to each call - detailed report for each call to logged in goldmine, same day of call - principle driver and KPI for all reps to be gm - all information relating marketing campaigns including leads, status of leads, and all other systems designed and run by the marketing department to be followed properly - this includes, in particular the organisation, participation in, follow up and documentation relating to all customer events. This includes the running of several events in each territory every year. | | 6 | Contribute to the overall strategic sales planning of the company on an ongoing basis |
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications required for Job:
Experience: Experience gained in working for a supplier of laboratory products and services would be preferable with a particular bias towards the water/food/pharmaceutical and dairy industries. Experience gained managing a sales team is essential. Knowledge: Complete understanding of the laboratory supplies product range and services in general and the Reagecon product range in particular. Ability and confidence to perform technical demonstrations as required. Qualifications: A qualification in Chemistry is highly desirable Other Personal Attributes Required: Experience gained in working for a supplier of laboratory products and services would be preferable with a particular bias towards the water/food/pharmaceutical and dairy industries. Experience gained managing a sales team is essential.

Key Responsibilities:| 1 | Responsible for the speedy answering of customer queries. | | 2 | Taking orders by phone, fax and e-mail. | | 3 | Responding to quote requests in a timely manner and following up to convert to sales. | | 4 | Using Goldmine to full effect ensuring that all customer contact is recorded and ensuring all details contained in the database are current. | 5 | Using Syspro to full effect ensuring information given to customers is correct and all data entry is accurate. | | 6 | Undertaking various project work as may be required from time to time. |
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications required for Job:
Experience: 2 years previous customer care experience along with experience of a contact database and stock/customer account management system. Knowledge: Knowledge of the laboratory supplies industry would be an advantage but is not essential. Qualifications: A science qualification would be preferable. Other Personal Attributes Required: Enthusiastic, highly motivated and extremely organised with the ability to work under pressure. An excellent telephone manner is essential.
