Reagecon introduces SCHOTT DURAN® Laboratory Glassware

SCHOTT DURAN® laboratory glassware has been at home in the world’s laboratories since Otto Schott invented it over a hundred years ago. DURAN® products are made of borosilicate glass type 3.3 (according to DIN ISO 3528). What makes them so unique is a manufacturing process within very narrow tolerances and the consistently reliable, high-quality level ensured by our strict quality management. We supply the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as universities and research institutes worldwide.

Our motto “DURAN® - first in quality worldwide” is reflected not least in the DIN EN ISO 9001/14001 certifications. Extreme heat resistance, high resistance to thermal shock, mechanical stability as well as excellent chemical resistance are among the outstanding properties of DURAN® glassware. As a neutral glass with high hydrolytic resistance, it is glass type 1 according to EP and USP.

The extensive SCHOTT DURAN® product range comprises both laboratory glassware products manufactured in fully-automated large-lot production (e.g. beakers, flasks, bottles, desiccators) and hand-made, high-precision, customized products manufactured in minimal-lot production (e.g. volumetric products, glass filtration apparatus, interchangeable glassware or large-volume vessels).

It is our aim to continually improve our products for our customers’ benefit: for instance, we were the first manufacturer to introduce the so-called “Retrace Code” on laboratory glass bottles in 2004. This 8-digit code is printed on each bottle to ensure it can be retraced to its original production batch, -an important feature in the areas of medicine, the pharmaceutical and food industries.
